10 WWE Midcard Matches That Stole Major PPVs

8. Edge Vs. Mick Foley - WrestleMania 22

True, Mick was no stranger to stealing the show. But this is the first time he'd ever upstaged the main event at a WrestleMania. And he managed to steal it even with Mr. WrestleMania, Shawn Michaels on the card. (Though, to be fair, HBK was slightly handicapped in his match by having to carry Vince McMahon.) Even in a packed card at WrestleMania 22, Foley and Edge put together what should be considered a Top 10 match in both of their career retrospectives, which is really saying something considering they have more than 40 years of matches between them. Of course, the most enduring image of the entire night was Edge spearing Foley through a table that had been set ablaze by Lita. The spot set an already bloodied and thumbtacked Edge up for the win and further cemented Foley's legacy as the undisputed King of Hardcore.
