It's no secret Sami Zayn is as good as they come in the squared circle - he demonstrated as much long before he ever stepped foot into the McMahon kingdom. In recent times, he's come into his own on the stick as well, cutting some of the more entertaining promos of 2019. Despite all that however, Zayn is yet to capture a single championship on the main roster.

That's not to say he never will - he captured the NXT title prior to his call-up to the big leagues after all - but Sami ever being considered a top guy is a stretch. Him headlining WrestleManias against Roman Reigns is the longest of shots.

One place Zayn - or perhaps El Generico - would be taken seriously as a contender for the top prize, is AEW. Sami could put on a wrestling masterclass against the elite of AEW (pun intended). In a promotion that takes its in-ring competition deadly serious, Zayn would flourish. He could even capitalise on his newly acquired mic skills to sell the big match-ups he would regularly be competing in.

Gone would be the days of being Kevin Owen's lackey, or being the chairman's conduit to put the fans in their place - replaced by the reckoning of Sami Zayn as a main attraction and top star.
