10 WWE Midcarders Who Would Be Main Eventers In AEW
5. Aleister Black
"The Dutch Destroyer" paid his dues on the independents as Tommy End before venturing into the mainstream of wrestling landscapes. After a successful NXT stint which saw him have a reign as champ, he debuted on the main roster with Ricochet as his partner. Now that partnership has expired and Black is on the verge of a singles run.
Aleister's path could go a myriad of ways and an eventual run on the top spot can't be ruled out. He has a great aura about him that matches his ominous look. In the realm of WWE storytelling though, he could just as easily be booked to fail as succeed. It would be far from the first time a superstar who seemingly ticked all the right boxes fell from grace by no fault of their own.
This is where AEW could make the save. Black has the credibility that All Elite would look for, thanks to his previously mentioned experience on the indies. That, combined with his impressive mixture of stiff striking and acrobatic aerial ability would make him a perfect fit for the fledgling promotion.
Aleister may yet find glory in the sports entertainment sand box he currently plays in, but there would be less of a gamble and faster route to success within the new wrestling game on the block.
