10 WWE Midcarders Who Would Be Main Eventers In AEW
2. Cesaro
Oh Cesaro, how we've been teased over you getting a push for so long. Capturing the US title wasn't enough. Winning the Andre The Giant memorial battle royal wasn't enough. Being aligned with Paul Heyman wasn't enough. Pushing John Cena to his limits wasn't enough. Steve Austin speaking up on your behalf to the boss on a podcast wasn't enough. Nothing is ever enough!
After finding success as a tag team competitor as a part of The Bar with Sheamus, Cesaro is back out on his own due to an injury to the Irishman. Will this finally be where 'The Swiss Superman' overcomes years of false hope within the promotion and is finally rewarded with a world title!? Nah, they'll probably just wait for Sheamus to come back and have them re-team like nothing ever happened.
If anyone on the WWE roster has a reason to be frustrated and want a way out, it's Cesaro. Being the consummate professional the man is though, we rarely ever hear of any complains from the veteran. That doesn't mean something isn't festering inside though, and that he wouldn't be more appreciated elsewhere.
Cesaro has proven he can tangle with anyone in the ring, gelling perfectly with high flyers and big men all the same. There's no wrestler type Cesaro can't have a barn burner of a match with. He would well and truly be in his element in AEW, finally allowed to shine to his full potential.
