10 WWE Moments 2020 Will Be Fondly Remembered For

9. Roman Reigns' Return And Long-Awaited Heel Turn

Roman Reigns, like many other people around the world, took time off during the beginning of the pandemic. Being someone who has battled leukemia for several years puts him in a higher risk group than many others, despite his phenomenal fitness and physique, plus he and his wife had just welcomed twins into the world.

Reigns' unexpected return at the end of SummerSlam provided not only a moment that was rewarding (knowing his health was well) but an incredible turning point for his character as he came into the ring and destroyed both Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt, cementing a heel turn that many fans feel should have happened ages ago.

On the RAW following, he became a quiet, deadly presence, letting his new advocate Paul Heyman do most of his talking. A week later, Reigns solidified his return to the top spot at Payback, winning the Universal title in a three way match with Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt.

This led into a program with his cousins the Usos, whereby Jey Uso became the number one contender, expecting a 'family friendly' match for the title. Instead, we got a vicious Reigns, who brutalized Jey to the point that his brother Jimmy threw the towel in.

Reigns' new attitude and look will be a highlight of this year.
