10 WWE Moments That Destroyed The 'Fiend' Character

5. Muscle Man Dance 2.0 - SmackDown 29 November 2019

What made the original FireFly FunHouse segments so appealing was that they weren't simply absurd. More often than not, there were layers of storytelling within Bray Wyatt's ramblings that strengthened the ongoing storyline. When Wyatt introduced wrestling fans to the original "Muscle Man Dance," they were oddly entertained by what sounded like madness but actually added some depth to his new persona. It wasn't just a tune WWE tried to get viral; it also explained what he had to do to come back better than before.

"Muscle Man Dance 2.0," on the other hand, did very little to entertain or inform.

Wyatt interrupted a Daniel Bryan promo with the song during the 29 November 2019 episode of SmackDown. When it first popped on the screen, it had the promise of following up its predecessor. By the time it was done, many fans had voiced their opinion about how the vignette was ridiculous for the sake of ridiculousness and contained little material relevant to 'The Fiend's ongoing feud. Lastly, it was nowhere near as catchy.

For 'The Fiend' to work, Wyatt and WWE need to be inventive constantly. Rehashing old ideas, especially for the worse, is a quick way to bore audiences of the mostly well-received FireFly FunHouse segments. It would have also made the battles with Bryan (as well as future feuds) that much better if WWE focused on Wyatt's more sinister acts than the comical ones.
