10 WWE Moments That Prove Ruthless Aggression Era Was Best

1. Guerrero & Benoit Celebrate Their Title Winnings At WrestleMania 20

Rather than spend their careers wasting away in the outer perimeters of WCW programming--a company that preferred to focus on old, nostalgia acts rather than up-and-comers--Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit (along with fellow stalwarts Perry Saturn and Dean Malenko) decided to jump ship to the WWE, where their talents would hopefully be better utilized. It may have took a bit longer than they would have liked, but it's safe to say Guerrero and Benoit would both end up very happy with the decision they'd made, each of them becoming a WWE Champion in 2004. And perhaps most appropriately, they did so right in front of Bischoff's face, with their former boss looking on as General Manager of Raw. Eddie defeated Brock Lesnar at No Way Out to become the WWE Champion, as well as a Triple Crown and Grand Slam Champion in the process. His celebration with his family at ringside was enough to bring tears to your eyes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msFiKqTqHHk But it was the following month at WrestleMania that would create the defining image of Guerrero and Benoit's longtime friendship and their time spent chasing after the same dream. Chris Benoit defeated Triple H in a Triple Threat Match (also featuring Shawn Michaels) to become the World Heavyweight Champion. Eddie, who had successfully defended his own belt earlier in the evening, jumped into the ring to raise his friend's hand.
