10 WWE Money In The Bank 2018 Impulse Reactions

6. Some Kind Of Bliss

Match-Of-The-Night honours were split between women's matches yet again, with Ronda Rousey and Nia Jax producing unexpected gold (more on that later) whilst the rank-and-file over-delivered in their spectacular Money In The Bank battle.

Perhaps it was the fact the crew finally had motivation yet again? A cloud of irrelevance and indifference hangs over both women's divisions in the post-WrestleMania lull, with Sasha Banks and Bayley undoing their NXT goodwill on a weekly basis on Raw whilst SmackDown Live struggles under the weight of talent being kept away from Carmella's delicate title reign.

An intricately-constructed multi-person scrap, this second (or...technically third) bite for the Women's Division ended up being one of the best briefcase battles in years. The logical progression from the early bursts of pace and fury were exceptional, Banks and recent NXT graduate Ember Moon maximising their minutes with gross bumps between gripping ladder chases by the limited Lana and frenzied Becky Lynch.

Everybody in their own way was over within the match, itself a far cry from the silence behind the violence every week on television. Consistently smarter than her contemporaries, Alexa's eventual win away from the heat of the battle made total sense too. All involved deserved huge kudos, and can hopefully harness the electricity to revive their individual ailing fortunes.
