Just minutes into Money In The Bank's Kickoff show, Peter Rosenberg said that Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley had "turned into quite a rivalry" over the last few months. Proof positive that he's either not been watching weekly or has celebrated the return of fans by becoming a paid one instead of an analyst.

It's been the worst feud of the year, and on evidence from this match and the bones of their other contests since 'The Nightmare' became Champion at WrestleMania, it could have been so so much better.

The two deserve tremendous credit for working fans into a frenzy by the end having not had them at all during the opening exchanges. Boos for both and chants for Becky Lynch resulted in Champion and Challenger jaw-jacking with fans more than each other, but when strong work met high stakes, everything came together rather magnificently.

Generating an epic-feeling near fall from a corner Natural Selection, the audience were almost apologetic in their apoplexy, going suitably bananas when Flair locked in the inescapable Figure Eight to win her umpteenth Raw Women's Championship.

A million years removed from the wretched rest of the feud, the wrestlers had to work twice as hard to get there, but get there they did. This was the night's most unexpected of triumphs.
