10 WWE Myths Fans Still Believe

There are, apparently, some who believe that Kane wasn't supposed to win the WWF title at King of the Ring in 1998, and only did so because Stone Cold was inadvertently busted open, and they had to show deference to the internal logic of a first blood match.

It's not exactly hard to see why this myth took hold. Kane lost the title back to Austin the very next night on Raw - making his brief title reign effectively pointless - and the Texas Rattlesnake did, in all fairness, begin bleeding long before they called for the bell.

But it's also very easy to refute. When has wrestling ever been faithful to its internal logic? If they wanted to keep the belt on Austin on the night, they probably could have found a way out of it.
