10 WWE Nightmares That Could Come True In 2023

1. The Wrong Man Beats Roman Reigns

This is arguably the biggest onscreen decision WWE has to make next year.

Exactly who beats Roman Reigns for one or both World Title is critical booking. Initially, it seemed like The Rock would return from Hollywood and challenge Roman's 'Head Of The Table' boasts, but having him dethrone Reigns would be a huge mistake. It'd also be a total waste.

This is WWE's chance to properly anoint someone fresh, not bung the belts on a part-timer who definitely doesn't need the rub. Someone like Sami Zayn would be a more satisfying pick. If not him, then choose another full-timer who could realistically benefit from such a monumental spot.

It's torturous to think that Trips might not know which way to turn on Reigns' successor. If that happens, then he could end up lazily drafting The Rock back in for a short title haul before he darts back off to make movies, or settle for sticking the titles on an unwanted full-timer like Braun Strowman.
