2. Vince McMahon Assumes Control (Again)

The rumour mill is going crazy with chatter that Vince McMahon is on the comeback trail and fancies wrestling back some creative control in WWE. Beyond The Wall Street Journal's reports about his actions, it's also true that he's had his time and the promotion requires fresh ideas into 2023 and beyond.

Major cracks were beginning to show in Vince's approach for years before he retired. There was a clear disconnect between what he wanted to book and what the audience wanted to see, and that led many to claim McMahon was out of touch. In fairness, what 77-year old dude has his finger on the pulse of today's pop culture?

Another thing: Triple H and Stephanie McMahon deserve the chance to properly man WWE the way they want to. Vince returning would pollute their waters and possibly even create some sort of backstage schism between "the old ways" and the "new".

WWE doesn't need that problem.
