Poor old Bray Wyatt is rapidly descending into parody again. He was booked strongly in the Draft’s immediate aftermath, but recent weeks have seen him fall back into the same goofy habits that derailed his act in the first place. Across the last two weeks, Wyatt and Randy Orton have engaged in a series of arena-wide shenanigans that have left the audience confused rather than excited, but they’ll still put on a good match.

Wyatt ultimately walks into this one with the upper hand. Orton might have beaten him at his own game by distracting him to a countout loss to Kane this week, but after spending much of the night trapped in a storage container, Wyatt pulled one of his disappearing acts to leave The Viper foiled. Clearly agitated, Orton smashed Bray’s rocking chair against the wall, proving that despite all the misdirection, Wyatt is inside his head.

They were originally set to clash at Backlash, but a Brock Lesnar-induced concussion prevented Randy from competing. He’s out to rebound following that crippling loss at SummerSlam, but can he pull it off?

Of course he can. This is a pay-per-view, and Bray Wyatt doesn’t win on pay-per-views. Whatever the circumstances, it’s most likely that WWE will feed him to Randy Orton to restore some of The Viper’s credibility in the wake of the Lesnar disaster, even if it doesn’t end the rivalry outright.
