10 WWE NXT Superstars You Totally Don't Remember

1. Memo Montenegro

The same goes for second and third-generation wrestlers too.

Memo Montenegro was the name WWE handed El Hijo de Dos Caras for his tenure between 2012-2013. If you're looking at his picture above (as well as that Dos Caras name) and thinking he looks familiar, then here's the deal: Memo is Alberto Del Rio's brother, not to mention the nephew of Mexican legend Mil Mascaras.

That lineage didn't do much for him on NXT. Montenegro worked two televised matches vs. future New Day members Big E and Xavier Woods, but disappeared from TV and was released in July 2013. Reportedly, it was Dos Caras himself who requested that his contract be torn to shreds. Perhaps he could see that things weren't going well.

Memo lost to E in just 21 seconds, so maybe he was right to be frustrated. Del Rio's name is mud in WWE nowadays anyway, so you won't hear official channels trumpeting Alberto or his family. Montenegro can't exactly be considered collateral damage in that, 'cause he was released long before Del Rio's troubles started, but he's defo one of NXT's forgotten sons.
