10 WWE NXT Superstars You Totally Don't Remember

9. Marcus Louis

Marcus Louis found his way into a non-title bout vs. then-NXT Champ Finn Bálor in 2015. That came after several lower-tier storylines that included the guy losing his hair and eyebrows. How's that for sports entertaining? Maybe working Finn was a reward for Louis doing his best with dodgy creative.

Regardless, it didn't elevate him higher up the food chain.

Marcus was released in February 2016. It was somewhat surprising, if only because he'd been such a regular presence on NXT programming just two years prior. Weirdly, and despite how often he was on shows, Louis isn't someone who ever really comes up when people discuss the brand's earliest wave of momentum.

TakeOvers were in full swing by 2015, and had started during Marcus's best year in WWE before that. However, he wouldn't benefit from all that hard work building NXT as a brand fans should pay attention to. Company higher-ups cut him from the roster without much warning.
