10 WWE Opponents That Shawn Michaels Refused To Do Business With

4. Hulk Hogan

In fairness to Shawn, he technically did do business with Hulk Hogan if you count 'doing business' as begrudgingly losing and going out of your way to make your opponent and the match look like an absolute joke. This was a rare example of the new Shawn acting like the old Shawn, or to coin a phrase made popular over the years, this was a classic case of Shawn being Shawn. Built up as €œIcon vs. Legend€, the plan was for Shawn and Hogan to do battle in two matches, commencing at SummerSlam 2005 and ending in one win apiece. The thing is, what caused Shawn to be Shawn was Hogan being Hogan. The Hulkster had already irked HBK by insisting that The Showstopper turn heel, leading to Michaels€™ infamous (and awesome) Larry King-esque skit in which Shawn mocked Hulk. To make things worse, Hogan revealed that an apparent knee issue meant he could only do the one match; one that he would, of course, win. Sure, Shawn went through with the match and lost, but it was in a ridiculous, farcical and comedic way in which Michaels made it perfectly clear what he thought of the whole situation.
