10 WWE PPV Matches That Prove Vince McMahon Lost It
3. Kurt Angle vs. Baron Corbin (WrestleMania 35)
If anyone tries to defend this, then there will be fisticuffs! In all seriousness, it was an insult to the great Kurt Angle that he jobbed to Baron Corbin in a six-minute snoozer at WrestleMania 35. This was Kurt's final match, so you'd think Vince McMahon would go all out to honour the Olympian with something special.
'No chance in hell, pal. Ha ha!'.
'Mania 35 was one of the busiest cards in living memory. It was an exhausting one-night show that featured 16 matches (including the Kickoff), and that might've made it harder for Angle to stand out. You see that? That's an attempted excuse. Fisticuffs. Right, enough of that.
WWE don't get a pass for treating Kurt with such contempt. His retirement was far too low key for such an epic career, and it came across loud and clear that Vince didn't give a crap. He wanted Angle on the show, but put him in the most afterthought spot imaginable.
What a missed opportunity.
