10 WWE Predictions We Got Completely Wrong In 2018

5. "Enzo & Cass Will Ruin Wrestling"

People generally hate being wrong, even about the most trivial of matters. This was one of the very rare exceptions.

A bout of the sniffles kept Enzo out of his early January engagements, but having 'revived' 205 Live, he looked set to be rehabilitated on the main roster once again. Then news broke of rape allegations against Amore, and he was promptly shown the exit door. Literally one day later, Triple H took over 205 Live as his new pet project, and set about undoing all Enzo's bad work.

Though claims against Amore were ultimately dropped, the stories emerging from the case - and his behaviour following it - made any future with WWE, at least for the time being, mercifully untenable. Still, Big Cass, was ready to doubly stink up the joint in lieu of his partner, back from a nasty leg break and looking worse than ever.

Cass' comeback programme opposite Daniel Bryan was distinctly depressing. Not only was Bryan, having made a spectacular comeback of his own, being tragically wasted, but it was to oil up the utterly hopeless Cass. It seemed spiteful by design.

Then, a second miracle. Already on the naughty step for a series of backstage behavioural issues, Big Col booted down a bathroom door, and that was just about the last straw. His erratic off-screen antics could no longer be tolerated - not least whilst his performances were so dismally poor - and he was sent the same way as his departed partner.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
