8. Finn Bálor Goes Back To His Black And Gold Roots - NXT 2019

There's a reason fans were losing their minds over the sight of Finn Bálor suddenly making his presence known on the main roster back in 2016.

This was the same bloke who'd help put the black and gold brand on the map as NXT Champion. And his calling up to the big time acted as the first real flicker of hope towards a bright, wrestling-focused future on the likes of Raw and SmackDown.

But in the wake of an unfortunate pectoral injury cutting down his run as the first-ever Universal Champion before it even started, the star possessing a Demon within never really got going again; largely due to the fact Vince McMahon had clearly lost faith in the fighting Irishman.

However, Papa H still saw something in his former developmental champ. And after being brutally battered on his way out the main roster door at SummerSlam 2019, The Prxnce was welcomed back to his former black and gold home with open arms.

Before long, The Game had even strapped up his returning NXT legend, a move that unquestionably felt like The Cerebral Assassin's way of telling Finn, "I'm so sorry for my father-in-law. I swear, he's usually cool with spooky nonsense..."
