From @mnrider1: Is AJ Lee's contract over? The timing of her dropping the Divas Title and CM Punk's interview is interesting.
This question is almost about CM Punk, but it's actually about his wife so the "no CM Punk questions" rule still applies. To my knowledge, WWE had no idea that Punk was going to do the podcast with Colt Cabana. It's not like Cabana or Punk were advertising it heavily. Cabana just posted it late on Thursday night, then we got to hear two hours of Punk complaining about various things in WWE, which was really eye opening for a lot of people. As for AJ's contract, we don't really know. There are some people in WWE who have contracts run up and it gets leaked out that the deal is set to expire. In AJ's case, it's hard to find an answer for that. There are rumors that she's not booked for anything after TLC (she's expected to get a Divas Title rematch), which s definitely eyebrow raising, but is also something that could be changed. Maybe she's just getting a month or two off the road. We don't know. It has reached the point where things are probably going to get awkward for her at work because Punk really went off on Triple H and also mentioned Vince McMahon quite a bit. AJ lost the Divas Title in less than 30 seconds, though, so it's not like she's going to get much lower than where she is. Maybe she won't be featured on TV as much. AJ is only 27 years old, so hopefully she sticks around for another few years. If she did leave when her deal was up or simply went home because she was unhappy then it wouldn't be a surprise. Work could be an awkward place for her in the future, especially this coming Monday.
