8. The Future Of Cody Rhodes

From @Jaryn0424: When Goldust and Stardust split what's next for Cody Rhodes? Think he main evented Raw a few times before they paired together.
The hope is that he eventually gets a main event push because he's such a talented performer, but it may be tough for him just because there are so many other guys out there. Cody will turn 30 this June, so he's still very young in the wrestling business since guys often go until their early 40s. He started on the roster in 2007 at the age of 22. Very few guys get to make the main roster at such a young age. Bo Dallas recently did. Usually guys start on the main roster in their mid to late 20s or even their 30s sometimes. He's younger than some NXT "rookies" like Hideo Itami and Finn Balor too. What WWE has to do is really elevate him as a heel after the split with Goldust. He needs to stop painting the face, go back to being Cody Rhodes and retire his brother from active competition. Goldust is 45 years old, so it's obvious he's going to retire soon. The story makes sense. They keep losing, Stardust turns heel, Goldust is forced to put his career on the line and Cody comes across like a top heel because of it. They need to really get behind him to make him a top guy. What's more likely is he'll still hover around the IC Title level although if they ever feel the need to develop a main eventer that is a loyal company guy then he's somebody they could use.
