From @ThatChapYouKnow: Do you think they should bin the US Title and bring back the Cruiserweight Title in its place?
It's a nice thought, but with Vince McMahon booking the shows I would have to say no. With all due respect to him, he never really understood the Cruiserweight concept or why it worked so well in WCW. WWE tried to copy them by doing a cruiser division, but instead of getting talented lucha wrestlers they used people like Jerry Lawler's son Brian Christopher, who is a decent wrester although not the kind of cruiserweight we want to see. When they did the Cruiserweight Division on Smackdown in the early to mid 2000s it was pretty good. That was a long time ago, though. For whatever reason, Vince has never been a big fan of putting over the weight class of wrestlers or giving them a chance to really show what they can do. There's nothing wrong with having a US Title. All they need to do is make people care more about it by having wrestlers talking about how much they want to win it. It rarely happens. By the way, Hornswoggle was the last Cruiserweight Champion. Sorry for the reminder.
