From @PaulRoumel: Why did WWE subtly split up the Wyatt Family? Seems like Bray was more loved-to-hate with Harper & Rowan plus Rowan as a face isn't working.
There really was no great reason given for the split. It was just a case of WWE wanting to separate them so that they could book Harper and Rowan as singles wrestlers instead of always having them team up. That still could have happened with Wyatt as their leader. Wyatt's become such a hot and cold character. There are times when it feels like he's going to be a main event heel with multiple WWE Title reigns, but then there we might not see him on TV for weeks at a time except in backstage skits. Harper has done well on his own and he's a very good in-ring performer, so I think part of the reason for the split was to get him some more exposure. A big reason why Erick Rowan isn't working as a face is because he's booked like a loser. He had that awful feud with Big Show that he should have won, but instead they decided to put over the nearly 20 year veteran that really doesn't need to win anymore. Then when he had a Royal Rumble qualifying match on Smackdown he lost that too. People don't want to cheer losers like him. The trio was better together than they are apart. No question about it. It's just another example of some of the poor writing in WWE these past six months especially.
