3. Stables In Wrestling?

From @collo05: Why have stables gone so out of fashion in wrestling? Always thought it was a good way to create feuds that made sense and a good way to elevate people before they can break out on their own. Just my opinion, but what do you think?
I'm not sure why you think they are out of fashion because WWE has done a good job in stables the last few years with The Shield, the Wyatt Family and The Authority. The Shield trio teamed together for about 18 months, won the majority of their matches and in the last year after breaking up they have been in a lot of main event matches as singles competitors. They are the future of the company. One day when they reunite it's going to be a big deal too. The Wyatt Family were broken up too soon because it was only about a year on the main roster. Bray Wyatt is better with them than he is without them. Erick Rowan sucked as a singles face while Luke Harper was better as a singles heel, but didn't get that far really. They should have been together longer. For the past two years, storylines have been dominated by The Authority. They might not be a stable in the traditional sense because they don't just have three or four wrestlers, but it's fair to say that it's been a good thing for Seth Rollins. He definitely could be booked stronger, though, so it would be wrong to assume it's perfect too. In the past, stables sucked like The Nexus, The Corre and some others, but WWE has done well in terms of booking stables of late. It's not really fair to say they have gone away from stables when they have had three of them featured prominently the last few years.
