9. Somebody Else Using The Stone Cold Stunner As A Finisher?
From @joe90101: Could the WWE give someone like Seth Rollins the Stone Cold Stunner as a finisher or is it too sacred?
It's too sacred or maybe protected is the better word. There are finishing moves of the biggest names ever that WWE will likely never give to a current wrestler because they are too synonymous with a legend. If Rollins or anybody else started using the Stone Cold Stunner regularly then it would look like a cheap ripoff in the eyes of the fans and that's not good for the active wrestler. An example of it being okay for a current guy using a finisher is Randy Orton doing the Diamond Cutter that Diamond Dallas Page did and renaming it the RKO. In that case, Page was okay with it because he was retiring. He's a big name in wrestling, but not at Austin's level. Look at that move today. It's still the most popular finishing move in the business. We're probably never going to see somebody else using the Stone Cold Stunner as a finisher and that's a good thing. The same can be applied to Triple H's Pedigree, Undertaker/Kane doing the Tombstone, Rock doing the Rock Bottom (even though Booker T did it too) and so on. Coming up with finishers is hard, but it's important to preserve the legendary moves too. It's what makes them stand out, after all.
