2. Vince McMahon Loving The Bigger Guys
From @bananasmoothie9: Why is Vince McMahon so obsessed with the "big man?" Even to the extent of hiring Giant Gonzales and The Great Khali in the past.
The reason for that is because Vince is an old man that thinks about wrestling like the old carnival bookers that would think they needed to bring in "freaks" to draw a crowd. That's why you see so many different wresting gimmicks that are crazy. A guy that's seven feet tall or bigger than that is going to stand out from the crowd and if he's any good in the ring you'll probably see him in WWE. That's why they hired Gonzalez, who was one of the least mobile wrestlers ever and it's why Khali lasted in WWE for nearly a decade even though he could barely move at times. Andre the Giant was one of the biggest draws ever. There will probably never be anybody like him, but WWE will always try to find a guy that can draw like he did. The wrestling business has always been a copycat world and will continue to be for years to come. It's hard to find good big guys that can work. That's why you see the likes of The Undertaker, Kane and Big Show work well into their 40s because WWE values them so much. They're happy to pay them to stick around in major roles just because they are a rare commodity.
