From @hotpants1980: Is it too late for Wade Barrett to be anything but a jobber?
Calling him a jobber is a bit harsh. It's pretty amazing that five years ago he was main eventing PPVs with the likes of John Cena and Randy Orton and now he's stuck in the midcard as a bit of a joke character. The curse of the King of the Ring crown strikes again. I would have put the World Title on him years ago. Daniel Bryan wrote in his book that WWE considered putting Smackdown's Money in the Bank briefcase on Barrett or Cody Rhodes, but they went with Bryan because he was a face at the time while Raw had a heel in Alberto Del Rio win it. Imagine if they went with Barrett at that point? We could have been talking about him in a much different light. Barrett's a good performer. To answer the question, maybe it is too late, but I hope not. How about giving him back the "I'm afraid I've got some bad news" schtick too? That would help!
