10 WWE Releases AEW Needs To Sign

7. Sarah Logan

Sticking with the women’s division, picking up Sarah Logan should be a no-brainer for AEW. Still only 26 years old, the former Crazy Mary Dobson was undermined from the get-go in WWE. The Riott Squad always seemed like a strange on-screen fit for Logan, and she seemed forever unable to move beyond being a part of a faction. An almost complete lack of opportunities certainly didn’t help.

Despite her youthful age, Logan is coming up to a decade in the business. She performed in a wide variety of roles before signing with WWE, displaying flexibility that the world’s largest pro wrestling company simply failed to acknowledge or embrace. AEW shouldn’t make the same mistake.

A solid in-ring performer with character talent in spades, Logan won’t be out of a job for long. That is unless this whole plague thing continues, of course. There has always been a sense that WWE was holding Sarah Logan back, especially when it came to in-ring work. Those days are done.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
