For years and years, fans around the world dreamt of Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson heading to WWE and dragging the quality of the tag team division up with them. In truth, the Good Brothers have been something of a disappointment in WWE, falling victim to the same old tale of stop-start pushes, comedy matches and eventual purgatory. It could have been special, but it ended up being as forgettable as many, many others. Consider them the Furnas & LaFon of the modern-day.

The smart money would be on Gallows & Anderson returning to their fellow Good Brothers in New Japan Pro Wrestling, but could they be more valuable to AEW? Sure, the Bullet Club alumni have a history in NJPW, but it is often forgotten that their tag title reigns there were largely humdrum affairs, plagued with meaningless matches and silly Maria-related posterior shaking. Does anyone really want to see Bullet Club cheat Tanahashi and Ibushi out of the titles? Of course not.

Whether positioned as heels or babyfaces, Gallows & Anderson would be a useful addition to AEW’s packed tag team division. Better yet, why not sign Karl Anderson and finally give the man the singles run his talent deserves?

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
