10 WWE Returns Fans Don’t Want (But Secretly Do)

2. Shane McMahon

Here comes the funny.

That woeful wordplay aside, there's a lot weighing against Shane O-Mac returning to WWE. After all, his most recent appearance at WrestleMania 39 was a clown show disaster that exposed how things have changed physically for Shane. Before that, his ego ran unchecked and Vince literally fired his own son for trying to make the Rumble all about himself.

AEW rumours remain rife, and there's a chance McMahon could turn up on Dynamite any day. It might've even happened by the time some read this. If so, then that still wouldn't disqualify McMahon from a list looking at possible WWE returns. Anything's possible in coming years.

McMahon is one of those curious cases of a character many are sick of but still pay attention to. He'll bring eyeballs to AEW if he goes there. Come back to WWE in the end and people will be watching. Yes, they might be watching to see if he tears a quad again, but the important thing is they'll be interested.
