10 WWE Returns Nobody Saw Coming

10. Heath Slater (6 July 2020 - Raw)

Here's the most recent example.

Former Nexus, Social Outcasts, Slater Gator, 3MB and "I Got Kids" underdog Heath Slater was one of the many let go from WWE in April. Since then, he's been talking about his run in the media and teasing a gig with Impact Wrestling, so nobody expected him to launch a comeback on the 6 July Raw.

He did though - Slater wrestled old pal Drew McIntyre and then they threw up that old 3MB sign. There's no news yet on whether this is a one-off (probably) or the start of something more for Heath, but it's the actual comeback that was shocking. It's doubtful anyone could've predicted that one.

Some on Twitter are happy to see Slater back, whereas others pointed out that he wouldn't have much of a role now WWE has burned through his most natural story with McIntyre. Let's hope the guy at least got a nice pay day out of it.
