10 WWE Reunions That Ultimately Disappointed

Another team that experienced multiple reunions throughout their WWE career was Bubba Ray and D-Von, the Dudley Boyz. The former ECW standouts were first separated as part of WWE's original brand extension in 2002, but, like the aforementioned New Age Outlaws, WWE Creative soon realized the error of their ways.

The first Dudleyz reunion would last for quite a while and even resulted in a feud with the returning 'Deadman' Undertaker character, a main event SmackDown program. Eventually, the Dudleys were released from WWE and signed with rival promotion TNA in 2005.

Ten years later, a solo Bubba Ray returned to WWE as part of the 2015 Royal Rumble to chants of, "We Want D-Von!". It would take another eight months, but fans got their wish the night after SummerSlam when the Dudley Boyz made their long-awaited return to WWE. Despite initial excitement surrounding their return, Bubba Ray and D-Von were used merely to put over teams of younger talent before disbanding (and in Bubba's case leaving WWE) one year later.

While most aging wrestlers should be used to build the younger, up-and-coming superstars, WWE seems to enjoy cutting their veterans' legs off, sapping any life the teams may have left, before disposing of them completely.
