10 WWE Roster Trades That Must Happen In 2018

6. Drew McIntyre To SmackDown

In a funny kind of way, getting injured on NXT can do your career the world of good, insofar as it means the storylines therein tend to move on in your absence, giving WWE little choice but to promote you to the main roster.

In Drew McIntyre's case, the knock he picked up at WarGames last month is expected keep him out until around April - which, not coincidentally, is usually around the time that the company holds its annual Superstar Shake-Up.

You fancy SmackDown would be a more natural home for the 32-year-old, its roster being less crowded and there being no obvious candidate to dominate proceedings for the next 12 months the way that Roman Reigns probably will over on Mondays.

Between the existing Tuesday night cast and some of those who are likely to make the jump this upcoming draft, there will be no shortage of opponents with whom McIntyre can put on his best work, meaning that this time there can be no excuses if he fails to make the sort of main roster splash of which so many think him capable.
