10 WWE Royal Rumble Runners-Up You Totally Forgot About

6. Ryback (2013)

This Rumble is WWE's most uninspiring in history. Before the 2014 D-Bry debacle, 2013's event was also a major disappointment. Was there anyone that didn't see John Cena winning? Ryback's impactful performance got lost in the event's mediocrity. This was Cena's second Rumble win after his 2008 triumph. 2012's winner Sheamus, who had been in the ring over 37 minutes, made the final three but was sent packing as The Big Guy sent him tumbling to the floor after reversing a Brogue kick attempt. After a few trading blows Ryback, who entered at number 30 and eliminated five superstars, was put to sleep by Cena's STF submission hold. The former Dr. of Thugnomics then had to lift Ryback's lifeless carcass over the top rope. He got as far as the corner before The Buy Guy fought back. After seemingly gaining the upper hand, the former Skip Sheffield hoisted Cena in the air and tried to 'torpede' him over the top. Cena reversed and won the event.
