10 WWE Royal Rumble Runners-Up You Totally Forgot About
4. Diesel (1996)
The 1996 event saw the most abrupt ending to a Royal Rumble in history. With two minutes to go Isaac Yankem, The British Bulldog, Shawn Michaels, Diesel, Kama and Duke 'The Dumpster' Droese were all still in the ring. Carnage ensued. Yankem, then Droese, then Bulldog and Kama all fell before Michaels, who entered at number 18, sent his former bodyguard, who was the 22nd entrant, over the top rope via a Sweet Chin Music. Michaels would go on to face Bret Hart at WrestleMania XII in one of the greatest Mania events in history.
