Want to know how WWE has prioritized lengthy runs in the Royal Rumble? Five wrestlers – including two winners – have topped the hour mark in the past two years, nearly doubling the previous total of six superstars logging 60-plus minutes.

Wrestlers turning long stays in the Rumble into victory is not uncommon, with Edge (58:30 in 2021), Ric Flair (1:00:02 in 1992), Chris Benoit (1:01:35 in 2004) and Rey Mysterio (1:02:12 in 2006) being top 10 in Rumble longevity and winning, with Rey’s tribute to Eddie Guerrero setting the men’s record.

However, Mysterio does not have the company-wide record. That belongs to Bayley, who set the all-time mark last year with an even 63 minutes en route to winning her first Rumble. Shout-out to Rhea Ripley, who won the 2023 Rumble in 1:01:08.

There’s a great case to be made that WWE will just continue to find ways to push this record upward by seconds with long runs by early entrants, but at some point, it will just become unrealistic and a challenge to keep fans’ attention.
