The name of the game in the Royal Rumble is to toss wrestlers over the top rope without being eliminated yourself. Some superstars are better than others at that feat – even if they aren’t there at the end having their hand raised. Those wrestlers are often heralded in lore, with many a highlight video recapping their exploits.
No one had a more prolific single Rumble than Brock Lesnar in 2020, when he entered at #1 and eliminated an unfathomable 13 wrestlers before finally being tossed from the match by Drew McIntyre. That performance stands out as the gold standard for an individual in a “normal” Rumble, besting Roman Reigns’ 2014 effort, when he eliminated 12 men. However, it’s worth noting that Braun Strowman also eliminated 13 men in the 2018 Greatest Royal Rumble, though that match had 50 competitors, making it and the record a bit apocryphal in Rumble lore.
Cumulatively, no one has come close to touching Kane, who has eliminated 46 wrestlers across 20 Rumbles. (If you back out his entries as Isaac Yankem and Fake Diesel, he still has 45 eliminations.) The next-closest wrestler is Undertaker, with 40. Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns are the highest of all active wrestlers, with 34 and 32 eliminations, respectively. (However, if you back out Strowman’s 13 eliminations in the GRR, he’s way down on the list.) Either man is a couple Rumbles running wild of surpassing Kane.
