10 WWE Stars Fans Refused To Give Up On

7. The Undertaker

What in the name of tombstones is The Undertaker doing here?

It's a valid question, because 'Taker is wrestling royalty and has been since before the turn of the millennium 20 years ago. He's here for one reason and one reason only: Super ShowDown, and the misery of 7 June 2019 in the white hot heat of Saudi Arabia. It's a night few, including the legend, have fun recalling.

The Undertaker vs. Goldberg sucked, and it sucked hard. There were injuries, there were sloppy spots and there were tears shed from loyalists as old warhorses looked knackered several minutes in. After that, social media was littered with sad comments from fans claiming that 'Taker might be best off hanging up his boots for good.

Then, boom.

Extreme Rules rekindled old flames burning in the icon's stomach and reminded everyone of the unmatched tone he sets when he's on his game. That tag-team match in July (a mere 37 days after the Saudi struggle) was a return to form, and it turned Twitter negativity into rediscovered love for someone fans never want to diss.
