10 WWE Stars In Danger Of Getting Lost In The Shuffle
3. Zack Ryder
Forget Shane leaping off the Cell, Tatanka randomly turning up in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royale or Jericho beating Styles - the most shocking moment of WrestleMania 32 was Zack Ryder winning the Intercontinental Championship.
Ryder’s inclusion in the match felt like his name had been pulled from a hat and yet, for some reason, WWE chose to go for him.
So why does he make this list? Surely that suggests the company has some faith in him? Well, not really. For one thing, he has already lost the title, keeping it for barely 24 hours. For another, the guy hadn’t been on TV for months before he was randomly inserted into that match.
Why would that change now?
Zack Ryder is a solid talent, but WWE has made it clear he will never be their guy. At the height of his popularity, he barely got a look in, and it isn’t going to change now that his cult popularity has starting to die off.
With a load of new men appearing on the card Ryder is going to slip back down the pecking order and it won’t be long until he’s losing on Superstars again.
