10 WWE Stars Lost To The Sands Of Time

8. Maven

As things stand, Maven Huffman has returned to the wrestling industry following a lengthy sabbatical. Before July, 2015, the man's last match had been way back in 2007. Before hanging up the boots, Maven was most notable for being the first winner of WWE's 'Tough Enough' program, and also for eliminating The Undertaker during the 2002 Royal Rumble. Maven's WWE dream came to an end in 2005, when he was released that Summer. For a long time, he'd been little more than a jobber to the stars, and didn't seem to have any upward mobility to speak of on the roster. It really seemed like the promotion didn't know what to do with Maven once the initial Tough Enough buzz had worn off. He was a Hardcore Champion, but there weren't many on the mid-card around that time who didn't have at least one run with that particular belt. There were rumours floating around up until recently that Maven was also considered for a spot on the Evolution faction. If he had joined, he would have stood alongside the likes of Ric Flair and Triple H, but both Randy Orton and Batista were far more suitable candidates. Maven fought hard to remove the stigma of how he had broken into the company, but he was always just 'that guy from Tough Enough' to many.
