10 WWE Stars More Interesting On Social Media Than TV

7. Matt Hardy

Anyone who watched "Broken" Matt Hardy's antics in TNA won't need telling that WWE's "Woken" variation isn't quite as enchanting. There's something missing from the Raw character, and it's almost like WWE have put creative restraints on what Matt is allowed to do. Either that or they just don't get it.

Those limitations aren't imposed on his Twitter account.

Matt does get the gimmick (he created it, after all), and he knows how to sell it to wrestling fans online. There's a lesson to be learned here for WWE's writing team. They must realise that the actual performers often know better than they do what works for their gimmicks. Hardy is one of Raw's finest examples of that.

Wacky language like, "Consumer of Terrestrial Entities" and a keen knowledge of how to get hashtags trending are what make Matt's self-made character a success away from WWE's cameras. For some reason though, Hardy doesn't get the same credit others, like Chris Jericho, do for reinventing his career.
