10 WWE Stars Released In 2019

Signed: April 2011.

Left: April 2019.

Jon Moxley's blood-soaked bump-fest with Kenny Omega at AEW's Full Gear was exactly the kind of match the former Dean Ambrose wanted to have in WWE. Watching it, it's obvious why Vinnie Mac wasn't keen. That doesn't give he or WWE an excuse for p*ssing Moxley off to the point of no return however.

He's shown during fleeting appearances in New Japan that he's one hell of a pro wrestler, and there were few glimpses of that towards the end of his WWE run. Earlier this year, the then-Ambrose cut a depressed figure who was going through the motions rather than a red hot, turned on performer capable of tearing the house down.

Jon wanted out, and he wanted to vent his frustrations verbally on podcasts and physically inside the ring against fresh opponents. After leaving in April, he got his wish.
