10 WWE Stars Who Were Unrecognizable From Their Early Days
9. Demolition Smash - Repo Man
Demolition was one of the toughest tag teams in WWE history. They also had the longest tag team title reign in WWE in 1988 when they held it for 488 days. If the WWE Hall of Fame inducted people and teams based on merit, they would have been in years ago. They're still not in for reasons we don't really know. Smash was one of the two original members of Demolition in WWE from 1987 to 1991. While the duo was the most athletic pair, they were physical wrestlers that brought the pain to their opponents. They always found a way to get the job done. Smash was the younger of the two men (Ax is 12 years older) and was known for having the longer hair. When they added Crush to the group it hurt them a bit, but they're still one of the best tag teams WWE has ever had. After Demolition has gone as far as they could go, he was repackaged as The Repo Man in 1993. It was a ridiculous gimmick where he was this character that repossessed items from people. He would also steal stuff when he was at wrestling shows because as a heel that's a mean thing to do. The look of the character was so different from Smash (plus he cut his hair) that most fans likely didn't even notice. He also had other gimmicks in other companies like Krusher Kruschev, Blacktop Bully and a golfer using his real name Barry Darsow in WCW, but this is only a look at WWE characters.
