10 WWE Stars Who Wanted (But Failed) To Jump To WCW

8. Shane Douglas

The year is 1999. World Championship Wrestling is falling apart, and the contracts of World Champion Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn and Eddie Guerrero are coming up for renewal. As well, Shane Douglas is contemplating leaving WCW along with the aforementioned four. Douglas would've ideally been one of the Radicalz when they jumped in January 2000, but at the last minute he hedged his political bets, believing that residual issues from his 1995 run as Dean Douglas would reappear if he made the move. Also important to consider is that WCW would've likely been considered more stable for him given that once the Radicalz left, he'd certainly become a more featured performer (which he did). A rare case of someone thinking about jumping to the WWF (from WCW...while WCW was perceived to be a sinking ship) certainly deserves mention on this list for just being such a bizarre scenario.
