After defeating Kurt Angle for his third WWE Championship in September 2003, Brock Lesnar embarked on a ruling reign as champion, knocking off the likes of The Undertaker, Chris Benoit and Hardcore Holly along the way. His biggest, and ironically his smallest challenge came in the form of Eddie Guerrero en route to No Way Out. Lesnar was one month away from defending the gold at WrestleMania 20, but he had to go through Latino Heat in order to do it. On paper, it looked like another walk in the park for Lesnar, but Guerrero would end up being a much bigger threat to the title than anyone ever expected him to be. For 30 minutes, Lesnar and Guerrero battled back and forth with the momentum constantly shifting between the two competitors. Lesnar attempt to assert his dominance over Guerrero at every opportunity, but the former United States Champion refused to give up. With a little help from Lesnar's rival Goldberg, Guerrero managed to hit the Frog Splash and score the three count on The Next Big Thing to capture his first WWE Championship. It's remembered as one of the most memorable and emotional moments in WWE history, and rightfully so. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bsF-D4CggC0 Had Guerrero beaten anyone else but Lesnar, the victory might not have had the same impact. Guerrero, so far, has been the only wrestler of smaller stature to defeat Lesnar by way of pinfall, solidifying him as a star and top-tier talent in the process.
