10 WWE Stars Who Desperately Need To Be Repackaged
1. Matt Hardy

Depending on what rumors are to be believed, Matt Hardy may someday become some variation of "BROKEN" again. Maybe? But there’s no doubt that he needs to be repackaged more than anyone on the WWE roster. This is because, with the right variation of his character, he could mean more to the company than anyone else on this list.
Nostalgia has never been a long-term solution for any wrestler. You can go back to Hulk Hogan in 2002 and see how fast his red and yellow act wore out its welcome, or just go back to 2015 and see how quickly fans grew tired of The Dudleyz. Right now, fans don’t seem to be feeling this returning iteration of The Hardy Boyz, because (strangely enough) they wanted the act they saw on Impact.
Matt and Jeff have taken an insane amount of punishment in their careers. Their "bump card" (a phrase they helped make popular) is virtually full, so it's hard for them to be top stars through their in-ring work alone these days. Their characters need to be repackaged and take on some of their more outlandish traits. They don't need to travel through space and time wrestle kangaroos, but the mannerisms, the crazy look and the dramatic overemphasis on certain, delightful words need to make a comeback if it's financially feasible for WWE to make the deal. Otherwise, let Matt repackage himself once again.
The Hardyz we're seeing right now aren't really what anyone was hoping for in their return. There's still some time to make them feel like big stars again, and hopefully, Vince McMahon is open to giving them some creative freedom to make this the return that fans were begging for.
