10 WWE Stars Who Desperately Need To Be Repackaged

5. Darren Young

"Mr. No Days Off" has had quite a few days (and months) off over the past couple years, as he's been injured multiple times, spending quite a bit of time on the sidelines. Currently, he's out of action once again and desperately needs something new for when he's ready to return. More of him and Bob Backlund isn't going to cut it.

Knowing WWE, they will probably resort to trying to pair Young up with Titus O'Neil once again or have them feud against each other. Another, more intriguing route would be to play off his real-life story. He's the first openly gay WWE wrestler EVER. That takes a hell of a lot of courage to open up about, but the company's stance is that the character isn't gay, just the actor. What?

They've hinted at his sexuality multiple times, but in more groan-inducing, comedic ways. Just embrace it, and have him be a role model. Sure, some fans will never accept his lifestyle, but that's their problem. Times have changed. And while WWE has done an admirable job of finally treating women seriously, an openly gay character is well past due. It doesn't have to be his entire act, but they shouldn't keep hiding from it.

If nothing else, it beats the hell out of watching another run with Backlund or O'Neil.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
