10 WWE Stars Who Failed In WCW
2. Ultimate Warrior
After whirlwind success in the WWF in the early and mid '90s, WCW's signing of The Ultimate Warrior in 1998 was a huge coup for Eric Bischoff and co.
Still in phenomenal aesthetic shape and still very much a household name in wrestling circles, Jim Hellwig - now known simply as The Warrior - debuted in WCW by entering straight into a main event feud with Hulk Hogan.
Sadly, WCW weren't sure how to book the crazed former champion. Instead of presenting him as the high-octane madman that WWF had offered, he was displayed as a mystical figure with supernatural powers. Bizarre instances like appearing in a mirror that only Hogan (and the watching audience) could see and regularly exiting the ring in a cloud of smoke, became a common part of his act.
As a result of the strange booking, his tenure in WCW was relatively short and he only had three matches to his name by the time he left. Despite having one of the best win/loss records in WWF history, he won only one of his matches in WCW and did so by DQ.
His abysmal match with Hogan at Halloween Havoc was the nail in the coffin and Warrior retired from wrestling altogether shortly thereafter.
