10 WWE Stars Who Had WrestleManias They Would Rather Forget
6. Sim Snuka - WrestleMania XXV
Sim Snuka was not a very good wrestler. After five years in WWE developmental territory OVW he was finally called up to WWE TV and put in an anachronistic tag team with the talented Cliff Compton. The 1950s greasers debuted on the Smackdown brand in January 2007. Snuka, or 'Deuce', annoyed his co-workers with his refusal to bump or sell their offence properly. They missed out on the WrestleMania 23 card but were entered into the 'Mania XXIV pre-show battle royal. After that, the team floundered as the creative team lost interest. Domino and Deuce 'n Domino's manager Cherry were released in August 2008. So it was up to Snuka to try and make it on his own. After failing to get into Orton's Legacy stable and working dark matches, Snuka didn't do a whole lot. But he did appear at WrestleMania XXV in an important role. No, Snuka didn't have a match or perform a shocking run-in. Instead he was the man entrusted with catching The Undertaker's breathtaking dive to the floor during his match with Shawn Michaels. You had one job, Snuka. One job. And you failed to do it. Instead of safely catching 'Taker, Snuka was out of position and only managed to get in the proper place after 'The Dead Man' had already landed on his head. It was a terrifying moment. Many thought that The Undertaker was knocked out or, worse, had suffered some sort of neck injury. Snuka himself must have been devastated. If there's one thing you don't do, it's mess up the spot of a top star and locker room leader like The Undertaker. Snuka was chewed out backstage and then released from his contract soon after. The irony of it all? Snuka previously worked as a TV cameraman before he got into wrestling. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUTYDCkY_N0
