10 WWE Stars Who Have Defined SummerSlam

7. Triple H

With an 8-5 record at SummerSlam€”bettered only by one man€”Triple H was always likely to feature on this list. His highlights include the classic Ladder match with the Rock in 1998, where the Game won the Intercontinental title and both combatants showed that they were ready to take the company by storm, and a couple of World title victories. In 2003 he captured the World Heavyweight Championship in the second-ever Elimination Chamber bout, outlasting the likes of Goldberg and Shawn Michaels, while in 2008 he beat the Great Khali to retain his WWE title. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xzv1wa_summerslam-1998-the-rock-vs-triple-h-ladder-match-for-the-wwf-intercontinental-championship_sport The Game also boasts victories as a part of DX in 2006 and 2009, but the flipside of his record is that he€™s also suffered plenty of defeats, including two Triple Threat matches for the WWE title in 1999 and 2000. And furthermore, even some of his victories have been a little underwhelming (his aforementioned clash with Khali in 2008 was anything but a classic). That may not necessarily be solely his fault, but either way it€™s a hindrance that makes it difficult to place the Cerebral Assassin above seventh place. As a huge fan of the Game I€™d love to feature him higher on this list, but I can€™t help but feel that they are others who are more deserving of the title Mr. SummerSlam.
